Betting apps should let gamblers know ‘if they’re up or down’

Online gambling accounts should prominently display the total amount of money that punters have won or lost to better inform problem gamblers, a technology entrepreneur has proposed to the federal government.
Backed by prominent anti-gambling campaigner Tim Costello and independent MP Zoe Daniel, the proposal would require online gambling portals to show their clients’ win-loss record on the home screen of their tablet, phone or computer, for the past week, month, year and since the account was open.
